What is this?
This dinner meeting and 2 CE presentation will explore various alternative and/or complementary treatments for psychological conditions such as anxiety, ADD/ADHD, depression, stress, head injuries and addiction. There will be an emphasis on research findings and Neurofeedback.
Our presenter, Candia Smith, DMH, received her doctorate in mental health from University of California, SF. She also has a Master's in Health and Medical Sciences from UC Berkeley and a BS in Biological psychology from UC Davis.
She specializes in a highly effective combination of neurofeedback systems, integrative psychotherapy and EMDR. Her work is based on 25 years of experience and expert diagnostic evaluations. She is BCIA-EEG certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance and has presented at their conferences. She has completed thousands of hours of inpatient, crisis and outpatient clinical work. In addition she has completed Advanced training in LENS Neurofeedback.
Objectives:
1.Attendees will learn about key ideas from relevant research on Alternative Treatments.
2. Attendees will identify the impact of trauma on the ANS
3. Attendees will learn key indicators for referring client for a QEEG.
