Continuing Education

Contra Costa Psychological Association hosts continuing education in the areas of mental health, psychology, and psychotherapy at quarterly dinner meetings and other events open to members and non-members (members receive a discount).

Meetings and events are centrally located in Contra Costa County, Dinner meetings include a wine and beverage reception, full course dinner and presentation.

Topics presented cover a wide range of issues relevant to the practice of psychology and in the past have included:

Personality Disorders, The DSM-V, The Neuroscience of Psychological Assessment
Brain Changes with Depression
Behavioral Alternatives to Medication
Clinical Approaches to High Conflict Couples
These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues and to remain informed of the broader issues important to psychology both regionally and nationally.

The CCPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education credits for psychologists. CCPA maintains responsibility for its program contents.

Speakers who are interested in presenting on their topic of expertise are encouraged to contact the programs chair.
