Biography

Bruce H. Feingold, Ph.D. has  specialized in psychotherapy with adults, young adults adolescents and couples for over thirty-five years in Walnut Creek, CA and leads two men’s psychotherapy groups. Dr. Feingold worked in Contra Costa County Child, Adolescent and Family Services for over eight years and founded and led  a training program for psychologists.  Dr. Feingold has taught at several professional schools, founded a doctoral training program at Walnut Creek Hospital and a Young Adult Program plus served as a consultant to the adult inpatient units.  Dr. Feingold has presented and authored many papers on adolescents, depression, suicide, and the theory and practice of integrative psychotherapy approaches.  Dr. Feingold has extensive training in psychodynamic, relational, family systems and mindfulness and hisapproach relies on empirically based psychotherapy integration research and practice. He strives to form a warm, supportive and collaborative relationship with his patients. In his own words, "As a therapist I am authentic and positive and encourage greater understanding, acceptance, growth and change. I help patients address their biological, emotional, cognitive, familial, interpersonal, cultural and spiritual problems and strengths and help them find creative and affirming solutions to their problems."
