The I&R members who serve on the panel volunteer to do on-call phone rotations throughout the year. To assist them in making efficient and appropriate mental health referrals, the I&R rotation members receive manuals that contain an array of referral information appropriate for various populations with a wide range of treatment needs (e.g. psychiatric services, mental health agencies, low fee clinics, Medical and Medicare providers, groups and classes, websites, self-help organizations, etc.). The manual also includes a directory I&R network psychologists with their practice information and specialties. When referrals for private practice are indicated, callers are given appropriate names from this list and encouraged to explore our website. It is through the dedication of our phone rotation volunteers that we have been able to provide this vital community service and contribute to the profession and practice of psychology. In return, we are sponsoring their presence in our online directories, where their pictures and practice information will be posted. Eligible I&R members who are unable to take phone rotations can still be included in our online directory for an additional fee. All I&R members are invited to attend our collegial network meetings. We discuss our practices and expertise, exchange resources and literature, create professional networks, and work together to enhance the efficacy of our practices and profession. As our network increases in size and variety, we are able to offer a more comprehensive directory. Please consider joining us this year! How to join the I & R network: New applications are accepted in November and December. To join the CCPA I & R Network, you must first apply for CCPA membership to obtain a user id and password. Then log into the Members' Corner and select the "Sign Up for I&R" link. The phone rotation panel closes in January. Membership lasts one year. If you are interested in learning more about the I&R, please contact: Michael Cheney, PsyD |
