Dr. Tucker specializes in comprehensive assessments for school-aged children (age six years through graduate school) that are personalized and focused on understanding the child as a whole. In addition to identifying areas of difficulty, Dr. Tucker highlights each child’s strengths and uses these strengths to inform interventions. Her assessments yield an integrated picture of a child’s cognitive, academic, and social-emotional development as well as specific recommendations for improving functioning in all three areas.
A goal of the assessment process is for each patient/family to emerge empowered and equipped to move forward. Drawing from her background as a school psychologist, Dr. Tucker works closely with schools and other involved professionals to help disseminate evaluation findings and maximize the positive results of the assessment across settings.
